New patterns

This past weekend I started working on my Christmas stocking pattern and I think it came out pretty cute considering it was the first one I made.

I think I'm going to modify the pattern some for the next one I make and see how that goes. I absolutely love how the applique with the pocket on the front turned out though! I thought it would be a good addition versus just a regular applique since you could use it for gift cards, candy canes, etc...

I'm also going to be working on some orders for appliqued holiday tees this week so I should have some photos of those up by the weekend or first part of next week. Hopefully I'll be able to sneak in a couple for myself...!

I've been working on some infant/toddler gift sets as well and hope to have those up by the end of the month (if not sooner). I've been working on a new pattern for the bibs so if all goes well, this new style will be included in the sets.

Getting ready for Christmas...

With Thanksgiving quickly approaching, I know it's time to start figuring out what to do for Christmas. I'm not sure how everyone else is but, I'm notorious for being a last minute shopper/crafter when it comes to presents. So this year, I decided to get a bit of a head start and purchase some new Christmas appliques.

How cute would it be to sew up some Christmas stockings with some of these designs? Or hand towels... or t-shirts?? I could probably go on and on but I will leave the rest to surprise as I plan on working on some of these ideas this weekend... *fingers crossed*

As for Thanksgiving, you still have time to put in any last minute orders for t-shirts, bibs, towels, etc. Cut off to ship via priority mail will be next Friday, 11/19. For locals, you can schedule a pickup/delivery up until Wednesday, 11/24. Please remember to allow 5-7 days for handmade items. If you already have something and you'd like it to be monogrammed/appliqued, please contact me to schedule a pickup.

Trying to figure out what you want to do for Thanksgiving? I know I am! With work and everything else going on, I usually never have things figured out til about the week before. But I figure if it ain't broke.... well, you know the rest. lol

The hubby and I had a great vacation over in California... so much that we really didn't want to leave and head back to Florida! We will definitely have to go back as 6 days just wasn't enough...

In CN news, I have some new Thanksgiving/Fall applique designs up and ready to go! There are so many things that these designs would look good on that I'll have to narrow it down and make up a few samples for everyone to see. I will also probably be making up some new bib and burp cloth sets along with some onesies and tees for the holidays. So if anyone has any suggestions/ideas of what they'd like to see, please send me a message!

I'm still working on getting some add'l designs for Christmas so please check back in the next week or two to see what's new.

Design a gift : Halloween!

Trick or treat bags are here! Pick your favorite Halloween applique and personalization/phrase and you're done! With so many designs to choose from, the possibilities are endless. The canvas bags are available in black, natural and white, measure approximately 13.25" tall by 13.5" wide and are priced at $15/ea.

Design your own t-shirts are now available as well! Pick the type of tee you want (infant/toddler/adult), a holiday applique of your choice w/personalization and you're set. Infant/toddler sizes range from NB - 7T and prices start at $14. Adult sizes range from S-4XL and start at $17. (Shirt colors and measurements will be posted soon... October

I think that October has always been one of my favorite months of the year. So in honor of Halloween, I've pulled together some cute appliques and designs for the upcoming holiday. I'm currently working on some designs for infant/toddler tees & onesies, adult tees and trick or treat bags. I should have these up and ready for sale (or to order) this upcoming week.

In the meantime, please check out my new additions to the blog... I've created sections at the top of the page so you can now see all of my applique, embroidery and monogram designs as well as fabric choices for custom orders. I've also created a new photo gallery section as well as a dedicated page for pre-made items that I currently have in-stock and are ready for delivery. (A few items with existing initial appliques are also on sale.)

As always, feel free to message me with any questions about items or special orders. If you live in the Orlando area and already have something that you'd like to monogram or put a cute applique on, I'm happy to meet with you to avoid shipping charges.

Also as a reminder, I will be on vacation starting Wednesday, 10/20 through Monday, 10/25. All pickups/deliveries will be cancelled during this time as I will be out of town. Deliveries will resume Wednesday, 10/27.

Getting ready for the holidays

Happy Friday!

I can't believe that it's already September! I know the holidays will be sneaking up quickly so I better get a head start on those holiday projects...

Today I'm picking up a few new blanks (onesies and t-shirts) to make some cute samples for Halloween and to test out some new appliques that I've gotten. I've also got another sewing/applique project planned as well but just need to pickup a few more things before I can start it. (Hint: tooth fairy)

Lots to do so I better run for now... Hope everyone has a great weekend!

What's new

Well, the back to school rush is winding down and it's giving me some time to catch up on some much needed projects... yay! During the past month or so I've purchased the above appliques to add to my well rounded collection and have already started planning how I'm going to use some of them. Now to just set aside the time the bring out all my fabrics and start sewing....!

The holidays are right around the corner so I've also got to finish and post the holiday schedule for this year. Like I said previously, my hubby and I will be taking a much needed vacation near the end of October (which I'm REALLY looking forward to) so the schedule will have to be re-arranged slightly around then. But not to worry, there will still be plenty of time after that to get Christmas orders going!

I'm also starting to look around for some additional vendors to help get my future website up, running and stocked. So if anyone would like to recommend a website/store or possible idea please let me know! I welcome your suggestions. :)

What's new

I decided to take advantage of some Black Friday sales and was able to pick up some cute new applique designs for projects as well as some fabric that I've had my eye on.

The designs below include all of the designs that I currently have along with the new ones from this weekend...

I've also recently picked up a new curly applique font that was used for a recent order as well as an add'l font that I think will help add some variety...

But for now it's time to finish up some orders for this week and maybe try to squeeze in some time to make something out of that new fabric!

Bibs, burp cloths and appliques.. Oh my!!

Here are a few new projects that I've been working on lately... I have a few more gift sets and onesies to work on as well still but I at least wanted to post what I've got finished so far.

I was able to purchase a few applique designs for the holidays and plan on getting them out there as well as everything is quickly approaching.. yikes!

The creative bug has bitten me hard lately so I've been working on a ton of new projects and trying to finish up some others that have been lingering for awhile...

I'm currently trying out some hand cut appliques with various materials and seeing how well they hold up. I think they're turning out cute and really hope that they past the test as I have several other designs I'm thinking of at the moment. *fingers crossed*

I also finally decided to try making a pacy clip and travel wipes case. This first clip gave me ideas on how to improve it almost immediately so I'm sure you'll be seeing more varieties for these in the future.

Making the case was a little time consuming but I think with more practice it will get better. This is also up for some different variations... personalizing the top with a monogram/name, adding decorative ribbon or a bow, etc.

New infant applique bibs

After trying out some different styles, I decided to make a smaller version of my bib pattern that I already had. These bibs are best suited for infants (0-6/9mo) and measure approximately 5" from neck to bottom and are 7.25" wide. Total height from top to bottom is 9.75".

Like all of my bibs, all fabrics are pre-washed before assembly and are top stitched for extra durability. Each bib features an applique letter in a coordinating fabric, an absorbant terry cloth backing and will have a choice of closure at the neck (button or velcro).

Bibs, bibs and more BIBS!

After all my trials, washes and tough decisions about closures I've finally made it here! My new and improved pattern is a go and I will be starting to sell them in my Etsy store a.s.a.p!

These cute bibs are best sized for babies that are 9/12+ months. They measure a generous 7" from neck to bottom and are 9" wide. Total height from top button to bottom measures approx. 12 3/4". (I am also currently working on a pattern for infant bibs sized 0-6mo.)

All fabrics are pre-washed before assembly and are top stitched for extra durability. Each bib features a 7/8" button closure and absorbant terry cloth backing.

These new diaper burp cloths feature appliqued letters with matching fabric and coordinating trims. (Grosgrain ribbon or ric rac.)

Burp cloths are 100% cotton and measure a generous 20" x 14".

Diaper bloomers

New appliqued diaper bloomers. Perfect for outfits or dresses without a diaper cover of some sort. Very cute and versatile!

Bloomers are made of 65% polyester, 35% cotton batiste and have embroidered eyelet edging. They also feature a soft waist elastic and a bias cut seat.
