Getting ready for the holidays

Happy Friday!

I can't believe that it's already September! I know the holidays will be sneaking up quickly so I better get a head start on those holiday projects...

Today I'm picking up a few new blanks (onesies and t-shirts) to make some cute samples for Halloween and to test out some new appliques that I've gotten. I've also got another sewing/applique project planned as well but just need to pickup a few more things before I can start it. (Hint: tooth fairy)

Lots to do so I better run for now... Hope everyone has a great weekend!

What's new

Well, the back to school rush is winding down and it's giving me some time to catch up on some much needed projects... yay! During the past month or so I've purchased the above appliques to add to my well rounded collection and have already started planning how I'm going to use some of them. Now to just set aside the time the bring out all my fabrics and start sewing....!

The holidays are right around the corner so I've also got to finish and post the holiday schedule for this year. Like I said previously, my hubby and I will be taking a much needed vacation near the end of October (which I'm REALLY looking forward to) so the schedule will have to be re-arranged slightly around then. But not to worry, there will still be plenty of time after that to get Christmas orders going!

I'm also starting to look around for some additional vendors to help get my future website up, running and stocked. So if anyone would like to recommend a website/store or possible idea please let me know! I welcome your suggestions. :)

What a crazy year its been....

...so far! It's already August and I've been so busy that I haven't been able to update the ol' blog. My apologies...

Earlier this year my trusty camera died which has prevented me from taking any new shots of things I've been working on and about a month ago, my laptop (that I do...errr, DID all of my editing on) crashed as well... So it's been a sad year for technology around here to say the least!

This year has kept me busy though... I've been working on some new accounts, various projects, tons of back to school orders and have recently purchased some new applique designs that I hope to have up here in the next month.

I will also be posting a new production schedule for the last quarter of the year soon. It's always been a chaotic time around here so I'd like to get it out there ahead of time to make sure everyone will be able to get their items/orders in without stressing about the turn around time. One thing that will be new for this year, is that I will actually be taking a week long vacation near the end of October so orders placed around that time will be delayed. More later about that though...

Holiday Schedule

Since there's only a little over 2 weeks left til Christmas, I decided to make up a holiday schedule for all of my handmade and embroidery/monogramming orders.

So to ensure local delivery by 12/22-12/23, all orders must be received by Tuesday, 12/15. Customers will have the ability to place rush orders between 12/16 - 12/18 (only) for an add'l fee.

All handmade/custom orders must be received no later than Saturday, 12/12 to allow for production time and local delivery.

Pardon my dust

I decided it was time to make some cosmetic changes to the ol' blog so please bare with me while I try my hand at creating backgrounds and banners... I'm not the greatest with html but I'm getting better with Photoshop so hopefully it will balance things out. (Ok... probably not, but it's wishful thinking right??)

What's new

I decided to take advantage of some Black Friday sales and was able to pick up some cute new applique designs for projects as well as some fabric that I've had my eye on.

The designs below include all of the designs that I currently have along with the new ones from this weekend...

I've also recently picked up a new curly applique font that was used for a recent order as well as an add'l font that I think will help add some variety...

But for now it's time to finish up some orders for this week and maybe try to squeeze in some time to make something out of that new fabric!
